AirMatch – Automatically optimize radio frequency through AI

Organizations are seeing a soaring growth in client density and data consumption, driven by BYOD, IoT, and cloud initiatives. Because of this, the demand for fast and reliable Wi-Fi in workspaces and public venues is no longer a nice to have – it’s a must have.

Aruba AirMatch goes beyond Adaptive Radio Management (ARM) by utilizing AI/machine learning to provide automated radio frequency (RF) optimization. Instead of looking at each individual AP like in the ARM model, AirMatch looks at analytics across the entire WLAN.

AirMatch is a key component of Aruba’s AI-powered Mobility solution and is supported in environments utilizing the Aruba Mobility Master (ArubaOS 8+). This delivers automated system-wide channel, and width and EIRP optimization – no manual intervention required.

ClientMatch – Guidance and load balancing of wireless terminals through AI

Ensuring that all wireless network clients receive appropriate levels of service is a major challenge, especially when phones, tablets, and other mobile devices choose which available SSIDs to connect to regardless of network health. This can have a significant impact on the performance of the client as well as the overall health of the network.Issues can stem from clients that connect with weak signals, connect to an oversubscribed access point(AP), and from clients that stubbornly remain connected to a single AP even when it roams to an area with APs that offer better connectivity (e.g. sticky client issues).

To solve these problems, Aruba enhances traditional radio and roaming techniques (i.e. band steering and 802.11k/v/r) with the introduction of ClientMatch. This patented RF optimization technology on Aruba APs, significantly boosts client performance and enables a predictable, consistent connectivity experience across the entire wireless LAN (WLAN). As part of Aruba’s AI-powered Mobility solution, ClientMatch continuously monitors the health of all clients connected to each AP and intelligently groups clients to APs optimized to carry their traffic – no specialized client software required. As a result, the impact clients have on the performance of overall WLAN is dramatically reduced.

In this solution, the Mobility Master uses a centralized configuration application to maintain all configurations under the management domain, thereby eliminating the trouble of using multiple contact points to apply global and local configurations to each managed device. Customers can configure all common configurations at a higher level of the hierarchy (such as the overall level of the controller), and configure all device or group-specific configurations at a lower level (the building controller level).

Through hierarchical configuration management, the configuration management of national branches can be realized very simply on the device. Global configurations are applied to the master controller, which propagates those global configurations to its local controllers. The local configuration is directly applied to the main controller or the local controller.

In the headquarters, Tencent headquarters IT only needs to maintain Aruba MM. Through MM and AirWave, you can obtain detailed information about all branch wireless networks in the country, and monitor the operating status and performance of all connected devices.
